Just Missing the Beach | Pawley’s Island, South Carolina
Although we have enjoyed a warm winter, I still miss gallivanting on the beach whenever I like.
Here are a few beach photos to get you through the winter:
Mini-trips like these remind me why I live in the Carolinas.
I hope everyone had wonderful holidays!!

Chris and Elizabeth Walters – and Aubrey, of course!
Boudoir Beautiful
What a great shoot to start off the new boudoir campaign for this side of the Carolinas!
I’ll be adding more details very soon; for now, just enjoy the loveliness that becomes this beautiful model!
This shot is probably the least boudoir, but I love it! It reminds me of Lady Gaga except more glamorous and less bizarre.
And my favorite.
Contact me for your boudoir session! September is the month for boudoir!

One Big Happy Family Wedding
A Gorgeous Wilmington Wedding
I fell in love with Wilmington after this wedding. Greenfield Lake plays host to so many beautiful scenes and interesting wildlife. We even had an alligator crash the wedding.
I would also recommend The Balcony in downtown Wilmington to anyone who needs a reception venue. The lighting was amazing!
Thank you, Amanda and Steve, for being such a wonderful couple. I’m so glad you have such a warm, inviting family.
Congratulations to you both and I can’t wait to show you the rest of your wedding photos!

Becky and Brian in Uniontown, just like France
I met Brian and Becky through my significant other. They actually won a free shoot and an 11×14 via my facebook fan page, which is a great reason to Like my page.

Joe Hardy, the very wealthy, eccentric owner of Nemacolin Woodlands, renovated Uniontown, PA to make it look like Marseilles, France. I can’t say that I would mistake it for France, but the changes definitely cheer the town up.
As usual…
I don’t mind if you use any of these pictures as a profile picture for your facebook. I only ask that you
1. Do not alter the photo in any way and
2. You do not crop the logo out.

Senior Portraits at Dorsey’s Knob
You might remember Mariah from the makeup shoot a few posts ago. I loved working with her and her friends and I was ecstatic when she and her mom asked me to take her senior portraits. She has such a sweet personality and made it so easy to work with her.
Remember the awesome day we had last week that tricked us into thinking it would be spring soon? Yeah, we took full advantage of that nice weather. We trekked up to Dorsey’s Knob and enjoyed the nice weather and beautiful scenery.
Is it spring yet??
Note:

Fiona – A Feminine Name for a Feminine Newborn
Fiona’s mother, Tarah, found me after admiring another client’s newborn photos and I’m so glad she did. She and her husband, Drew, have such pleasant, joyful personalities and made it so easy made it so easy to work with their family. They also have terrifically creative tastes and it showed in their home, designed entirely by Tarah. They have the most colorful, beautiful nursery I’ve ever seen.
After fighting sleep for as long as possible, Fiona finally gave in and let us pose and dress her up. The bows and pearls complement her petite frame so well.
I really think she should design nurseries. Love it.

From My Valentine – Project 365 Day ??
Anyone who knows us personally understands that we’re not your typical couple. I’m finishing up my degree this May while working on my photography business and he’s finishing up his military career in the fall while working on his first official album – plug: youtube.com/shiprock04. We spend our free time traveling, playing hide-and-go-seek with glow sticks and Maddie, or playing a wild game of chess.
I never claimed to be a fan of Valentine’s Day. I do not want to have to look forward to one of the few days a year I can have a romantic time with my significant other. I do enjoy the Sweethearts candy that shows up on the shelves of every grocery/convenience store in town, though – the original brand, not Bach’s.
However, I just received the best Valentine’s Day gift to date – a very old trunk from a consignment shop. It’s so vintage and interesting, the perfect prop for an engagement/bridal/newborn shoot. It will also serve as an awesome night stand.
My significant other understands me perfectly.
She started directing the photo shoot here. She will grow up to become either a very bossy photographer or a very diva model.
Doubles as a babysitter?
I also scheduled us a massage on Valentine’s Day. I’m starting to like this day.

Photo Booth!
So I bought a ring flash many, many months ago with no idea how I would use it. I only knew that I loved the flat, model lighting it produced. I also bought a red and black damask backdrop from Drop it Modern, because it was sexy and awesome. Luckily, I have found a use for the both together!
This will appear at the next wedding in May for guests to have their pictures taken during the reception. After the wedding, they can login to my client website with a password to check out all of the fun shots of their photo booth. The bride will also have the choice to print out 4×6′s for the guests in their Thank You cards. What a great wedding favor!
The below shots are from our last party where couples (and a few kids) jumped in to test it out. Enjoy!
I cannot wait to use this at the next event/wedding!
